In October 2015, Wirraka Maya Health Service - Transition to Adulthood program, engaged Indigenous Hip Hop Project team to visit Hedland and together with the great support from the South Hedland Primary School and the town of Port Hedland's JD Hardie Youth Zone, we produced an awesome video clip on the positive values of Hedland; to promote the message "Be At Your Best" Participating youth gained skills in dance, performance and song writing with the personal growth of building confidence, team work, and developing a greater sense of identity, pride and community spirit that encourages them to 'Be at their best; to make positive choices and positive attitudes. The time has come for Getter to leave Port Hedland & start a new chapter... Firstly, a sneaky trip to Estonia to see family & friends followed by the BIG move.. to Perth!! yikes! What an AMAZING year it has been! We both have been so blessed to have been able to create some beautiful memories together, meet some amazing people & adventure to some unforgettable places... But what has been the bestestest thing of all has been the fact that we have had each other to share it all with! To the new adventures! Love love love

IHHP dance crew worked alongside Wirraka Maya Health Service Aboriginal Corporation and their Be at Your Best Campaign, travelling to local schools and running community workshops in the Hedland region of WA. This documentary will take you through the epic week shared by the IHHP crew and Wirraka Maya staff finishing off with an incredible deadly styles event seeing more than 700 locals & community members attending the JD Hardie Youth Zone to watch the youth break it down and launch this very dance documentary!! Huge thanks to Wirraka Maya, all the local schools, Hedland Region police and the JD Hardie Youth Centre. We can't wait to come back again !!
